I first became interested in photography at five years old. My first camera was a Diana, since then I have used everything from point and shoot to large format cameras.

Photography is an elusive medium of light and a moment that will never again be seen.  To capture that brief moment in history takes skill and patience.

The famous statue of the raising of the US flag on Iwo Jima was first a photograph. The image was made by Joe Rosenthal.  Joe was one of many photographers who were there to record this event, but it was his camera who captured and made immortal that decisive moment in history never to be seen again, that is if not for Rosenthal's vision.  The editors of "US Camera Magazine" said "In that moment, Rosenthal's camera recorded the soul on a nation".

As a fine art photographer, this is what I strive for, to capture that Decisive moment. Sometimes this happens in an instant, a blink of an eye but all to often it is a moment that took patience to wait for when everything came together.
